Sampling
|
Before cleaning day, a hydraulic fluid sample, drawn at
normal operating temperature, is sent to an ISO-certified
lab for analysis. This gives us valuable information on the
state of the lubricant, as well as the over-all health of
the system. As parts of the machinery degrade, they leave
tell-tale contaminants in the fluid. Lab work can even
pinpoint specific issues, such as whether contamination is
caused by inadequate filters.
We
also perform on-the-spot tests right before we begin the
fluid filtration process. Our technicians can tell a lot by
looking at the fluid, but we do not rely on sight alone. We
test again at the end, to make sure that everything is
squeaky clean.
